Habitat Board and Committee Members are a vital part of our organization, working directly with affiliate staff and volunteers to help further our mission of building simple, decent, affordable housing. As a committee member, you will interact with like-minded individuals and see real change happening as a result of your contributions!
Each committee sets its own schedule, based on the tasks it is working to complete. Position Descriptions give an idea of how much time per month will be required. Volunteers are asked to make at least a 12 month commitment when signing on to a committee, though exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.
Volunteers must be 18+ and sign a waiver and confidentiality agreement and agree to a background check to participate on a committee. Training varies by committee.
Time commitment: Meets from 5:30 – 7:30 pm on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month and conducts home visits.
Time commitment: Meets once a quarter in addition to communicating with assigned family partners monthly.
