Brownsville Business Steering Committee - Summer 2018

Funded by a Wells Fargo neighborhood grant, the NR Department partnered with the Historic Brownsville Committee to look at ideas for marketing and branding the Brownsville for expanded business opportunities. With over 17 meetings in 2018, and more planned in 2019, the business community along West Cervantes Street and Mobile Highway, between Pace Boulevard and Green Street, met for socials and brainstorming sessions for how to stimulate economic development and excitement along this formerly bustling business corridor in Brownsville. A business survey is being conducted, with results expected in Spring 2019, which will be used by the County and the Brownsville Business Coalition to assess the needs and opportunities for the business corridor.
