Pensacola Habitat Joins Forces with the Community to Build Affordable, Award-Winning Homes!

Pensacola (June 21, 2019) – This Spring the Home Builders Association of West Florida hosted the 61st Annual Parade of Homes. This compelling event attracts thousands of people who are pleased to tour new homes of all shapes, sizes, colors and price ranges in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. The 53 homes built were showcased and open for the public to enjoy during the week of June 8th- June 16th.

During this time of year, Northwest Florida home builders work tirelessly to add the finishing touches on their dream homes. Pensacola Habitat’s efforts paid off as they were announced the category 1 winner for homes under $210,000 in the 2019 Parade of Homes. This downtown dream home located at 307 N E St Pensacola, features some popular amenities, front porch, large laundry room, Energy star appliances, and storage room. A virtual tour is available to those who could not make it.  https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=Zie9mJbHkzm

The community of Pensacola has joined forces with Pensacola Habitat for Humanity to help make the community a better place. The United States Air Force, United States Navy, and “Buck – I- Serv” from Ohio State were important volunteer groups in helping build the winning home. The interior was beautifully designed by Dee Henderson.

“We were thrilled to learn that we had been awarded the Outstanding home award for category 1!  We have really stepped up our construction over the past few years.  We are able to provide an affordable home to our homebuyers without sacrificing quality, and unfortunately not many builders are offering both these days.”  Crystal Scott, Director of Resource Development.

Pensacola Habitat was a part of Parade of Homes in 2016 winning Category one in that year as well.

Pensacola Habitat has been building homes since 1981 and pride themselves on helping homeowners break down the barriers to homeownership and familiarize them with the buying process. They reach wide across the community, with various programs and services aimed at transforming communities, one homeowner at a time.
