As part of the NR Department’s Community Pride Program (ABWK – A Brush With Kindness), volunteers from colleges and military groups assisted with painting several houses in Pensacola and Cantonment in 2018. The entire process includes washing down the siding and trim, minimal scraping, taping off trim, painting and cleanup after the process. While at the homes that are being painted, the volunteers also do lawn maintenance and small “handyman” repairs that match their skill levels. That way, when the painting is complete, the whole property looks as good as new!
