Habitat for Humanity is a Christian organization and welcomes volunteers from all faiths who are committed to Habitat's goal of eliminating poverty housing.

This Week:  Pensacola Habitat Hosts Build-a-Thon 2012!
For the second consecutive year, Pensacola Habitat for Humanity has been selected as a host site for Habitat for Humanity International’s AmeriCorps Build-a-Thon event.  Pensacola Habitat is one of only four Habitat affiliates selected to host Build-a-Thon 2012.  The 2012 Build-a-Thon will take place May 13-19. More than 90 AmeriCorps members from six different states will work to construct six Pensacola Habitat homes on Figland Avenue in Ensley. AmeriCorps Build-a-Thon is an annual event that brings together AmeriCorps members in a week long “blitz build”. The event highlights local community need for affordable housing while celebrating AmeriCorps members’ service with Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the country.

Pensacola Habitat Assembling International Build Team
Pensacola Habitat builds new homes in Milton and in Brownsville and in Gulf Breeze and in Ensley and even far out off Gulf Beach Highway. But did you know about Pensacola’s international mission?

Every 7 minutes around the world, Habitat for Humanity serves a family in need of decent housing. Through our 30 year history, Pensacola Habitat has provided the funding to build over 80 homes around the world. Now, we’re sending more than just funding, we’re sending build teams, too!

Where will you build?

Global Village volunteer teams travel across the world. This year alone, more than 100 trips are planned in 34 different countries! Our sights are set on central Asia! Want to know more?
