Rock-the-Block Plays at Camshire Meadows
On Friday, September 27, 2019, Pensacola Habitat for Humanity will be partnering with two groups - Magic 106.1 Radio and Michles & Booth, P.A. - for the third and final Rock-the-Block event of 2019. Rock-the-Block (RTB) is a volunteer-based community improvement initiative of Pensacola Habitat facilitated by its Neighborhood Revitalization department.
Rock the Block’s approach is activating high volume volunteer groups to revitalize and improve targeted neighborhoods throughout Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Through Rock-the-Block, locations needing improvements within a one- to three-block residential and commercial area receive assistance to refurbish their homes, properties, and community.
Volunteers will be building two graffiti walls, four benches, and assisting with landscaping projects such as tree planting and mulching surrounding the playground built with a KaBOOM grant, Camshire Meadows HOA funds, and donations from local individuals and corporations in May 2018.
The results of the volunteers working on this revitalization project will be “revealed” to Camshire Meadows residents at a Community HOA meeting on Saturday, September 28th.
